My daughter, Grace, loves music. She likes listening to it at home, in the car…basically, anywhere she can. And she loves to sing and dance. A lot!
I think it’s because our house is always filled with music. She’s been listening to Bruce Springsteen, Queen, Ray Lamontagne
So, I knew I had to enroll her in dance classes as soon as she was potty-trained — that’s normally a pre-requisite at most schools. I sent out a request to one of my Facebook mom groups. They offered a few suggestions. I reached out and found one I like. They have a comprehensive website, and they answered my emails right away.
Dressing my little dancer
Because I was so excited after I signed her up, I immediately searched the Internet for some deals on ballet outfits. I didn’t want to spend a lot, especially if she didn’t end up enjoying it (but I doubted that would be the case).
Amazon was a great place to find affordable dance wear. I found her leotard, ballet slippers and white tights. Grace is tiny for her age, so I always worry about clothes fitting her. Toddler clothes run the gamut from running too small or too big. Most parents need to review size charts over and over again to make sure they are ordering the correct size.
Luckily, her dance outfit arrived in the mail and everything fit her perfectly. Now, it was time to dance!
